No your link wasn't there.
What I'm not open to discussion about is whether we are in a recession or not,we are as far as I'm concerned.
I am really trying to see your side, you state some good points and then lapse into the conservative rhetoric that I'm so tired of hearing about "socialist" programs.
I really am not a big beliver in placing blame when we are in such a sorry state as we are,it doesn't do any good,it just keeps people immobile and polarized.
I think on this particular subject I am going to have to agree to disagree with you. I respect you also very much for serving in our countries military and as a police officer,Thank you for your service.
Thank you for commenting.

First, I wonder what the chances are of coming to an agreement with someone who starts off a post with saying (I don't care what anyone says) !!! How open are you to sensible argument?
But since you claim to be a nurse, and I think nurses are angelic, I'll give this a try.
I get the impression you didn't even read the link I left above. Not your fault, because wordpress does funny things with hotlinks so you may not have even seen it. So first I'll just reiterate, it's the democrats that have been in charge of the pursestrings for the last two years dear. And it's the democrats that are talking about "taking oil company profits"... Yeah, that'll make all sorts of companies want to come to the U.S. and invest their capital and establish jobs for all of us, won't it?!!!
We scream about jobs being outsourced... if they start taking company's profits, we won't have jobs to outsource! NO ONE will invest in the United States. Unbelieveable.
Socialist programs don't work. Nationalized healthcare in England and Canada are a disaster, yet democrats continue to talk about inflicting us with it, and "we the people" say, YES, YES, YES!
Social Security is rushing to bankruptcy. GW proposes a fix, and democrats won't even allow it to come to the table for discussion.
(Yeah, that's good governance!)

Again, please place blame where it belongs.
(And I'm sorry if this comes across as hounding. That's not my intent. I'm just sick and tired of folks complaining about George Bush, when their complaints are so misdirected.)
Thanks for being a nurse. I don't care if you are naive about politics, I respect you for committing to help those around you.

Oh, and here's the link I TRIED to leave you in hotlink form:

Greybeard,I believe wholly that the "blame" is on the polititians who made very poor choices and lied. It's not on any one persons or party's head. There is enough blame to go around,I'm not particularly happy with the democratic party either but after the last 7 years I have to hope that they are better than those in charge now. The economy is the worst that I remember it and it's scaring me to death because I grew up hearing the tales of my parents growing up during the Great Depression. I have to hope that somebody, some combination of somebody's can get it better than the last administration because if they don't we're all going to be in the s**t bigtime. Maybe that's magical thinking,I don't know. I just pray, say my piece about it and hope it gets better and stick with what I do best;nursing.
I do know that I've never seen our country so polarized and I hate it.
Thanks for commenting Greybeard.

Okay, then answer me this, Buttercup...
Who refuses to drill for oil, using the excuse that it won't help for ten years? (I don't give a damn WHEN it will help....
It WON'T HURT. Start now!)

We've got a terrible deficit problem. We absolutely MUST get this budget under control. Who controls the purse strings, BC?

I am no Bush fan. I voted for him last time because I'm a Viet Nam Veteran and the other party's candidate was a traitorous, lying, sack of odoriferous feces. I'm not happy with the choices we face this November either, and will likely write-in "None of the above" because my vote will make no difference whatsover in the outcome of the election in my state. But to say our present economic condition is GW's fault borders on incredulity. Downplay it if you want, but our President's approval rating presently more than twice that of Congress.
Place blame where it belongs, please.

Agree with your overall assessment, but you're <a href="http://oleprairiedog.blogspot.com/2008/03/time-for-sanity-check-couple-of-years.html" rel="nofollow">putting the blame<a> in the wrong place, aren't you?
Chuck Shumer et. al. are doin' such a fine job! (Nine percent approval rating!)

Oh please...
One of Nancy Pelosi's promises when she became House Speaker was to reduce fuel prices. How's that working out, Madame Speaker?
Drill now. Drill here. Drill often.
To all politicians:
Get your head outta your ass.
